Grutatxt

Grutatxt is a plain text to HTML (and other formats) converter. It succesfully converts subtle text markup to lists, bold, italics, tables and headings to their corresponding HTML, troff, man page or LaTeX markup without having to write unreadable source text files. Grutatxt is a Perl module and a command line utility.

The output drivers currently supported by Grutatxt are: HTML, troff (me macros), man and LaTeX.

The best Grutatxt demo is to compare the README text file with its HTML version, converted by Grutatxt:

README, text mode; README converted to HTML.

Grutatxt is a Perl module (usable separately), and a command line utility.

Current version is 2.0.14. This software is licensed under the GPL.
